I'll dominate 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize the upcoming bout.

Former two time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of boxing's largest financial successes, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers met for the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
