WHere is a simplified version of a cocktail found on a new drinks list. Designed as a party-sized premix which is packed with essence associated with festive period, making it ideal for a holiday party. Save the extra syrup you can use for breakfast cocktails, sweets, or to mix another batch of the drink.
Bikini Recipe
Serves 10 guests
To make the Clementine Syrup (makes 750ml)
300ml fresh clementine juice
200ml newly squeezed lemon juice
500g caster sugar
To make the Cocktail (makes 850ml, serving 10)
400ml good quality vodka
100ml London dry gin
150ml peach-flavored liqueur
200ml clementine syrup (see above)
Fresh cranberries, as a garnish
Mandarin essential oil, to finish
Method
For the Cordial: Put every components inside a pot, heat until it reaches a gentle boil, stirring to dissolve. Next, turn off the heat allowing it to reach room temperature entirely. Pour to a clean bottle, cap it and refrigerate it chilled, it will last for around one month.
To make Premix: Mix the specified liquid ingredients in a large bottle, allow it to infuse for an hour, then strain , ideally through a fine cloth, to ensure it's completely strained.
For serving: Measure 85ml from the premix into your cocktail shaker packed with ice, and stir carefully for one minute to chill. Filter into an frosted cocktail glass or equivalent, top with a few cranberries and finish by giving it a quick spritz of mandarin oil above the glass.
